I like your # 3, 4, 8. I think the Aztec pyramid is a good, simple, and clean idea. I like you different variations of the pyramid. I personally like #3 the best. You might want to make the type a little bigger so Mexico stands out more. overall, great job!
I like the idea of the aztec pyramids as well especially the one where the steps are combined with the head of the eagle. It also might be interesting to place the type all in the stepping of the pyramid and try to go more abstract with the steps or even place some sort of pattern that is representational of Mexico (whether it is from fabric,etc) inside the pyramid or maybe even a pattern can be used to shape the pyramid or even the head of an eagle..just some thoughts. Great start!
I like number 4 but 5 especially. #5 Has a combination of the animal and aztec symbolism integrated with each other. #4 may be a little straight forward, but its still a good design.
I really like image number 4. I think having the Aztec pyramid over the rings is a strong logo for Mexico.
