I like the simplicity of your ideas. #9 is my favorite. I think you could do something different with the type though. Maybe you could try to put the name and year below your icon. I like your icon, but you should try to do something more to the type so it stands out. Good job!
I like the color of the rings used in 9 and 10 but maybe try putting the colors in a different order so they dont appear so rainbow like. Also # 7 and 8 I like the gradation but the colors of green and red seem too dull. Try something brighter or maybe instead of gradating from green to white, instead gradate from a light green to a dark. And also see how black rings would look instead of green or red.
